It doesn't look like we will be going anywhere soon

After having our house on the market for two months we are still here. We have had quite a few showings and people that have had us at the top of their list, but no offers. I do not love having my house for sale. It is very stressful. Getting a call telling you someone is coming to look at your house tomorrow or in a few hours. Then you make the stressful dash to make your house spotless and ready for a potential buyer. Not my idea of fun. But i guess in e sense it is good we are still here because I recently found out the lot we really liked and were going to buy next month (regardless if our house was sold or not) Has now been bought out by Richmond American, a large nation wide builder. So now we are once again on the hunt for a place to build our home.

we did it

It has only taken us a year, but we finally decided to list our house for sale. We have been looking around going back and forth figuring out our finances and so forth for the last year and we finally decided to make the big move. I feel so much better about this right now than I have the other two times we almost did it. I am excited and nervous and a little sad and many more mixed emotion, but I think it will be a really good thing for us and our family.

Jordyn's 2 year pictures

It does feel like all we do it pictures these days. We have done big family pictures on both my side and Rusty's side of the family, we did the Halloween pictures I have been taking Taylor in every month and now Jordyn's Birthday pictures. But we are still not done. We get to do Christmas picture in a week and a half next.

Anyway, on October 18th Jordyn turned 2 years old. She is such a fun and energetic girl. We love having her in our home.

She loves to talk and it is great because you can pretty much understand everything she says. I call her my little monkey because she climbs all over everything. If Alexis is doing it Jordyn is right behind her doing it. She forgets she is 18 months younger than her big sister and shouldn't be able to do all these things. She is just crazy in general and we love every bit of her.

She is also very nurturing. She is very sweet with Taylor and comes running when she cries to try to calm her down. It is so cute. She is such a beatuiful little girl. It is very hard to not smile when she smiles at you or when she is pouting too. She has recently become very good at playing house and pretending with Alexis. It is so much fun to watch them play. I love watching Jordyn grow and learn, I can't wait to see what she does next. I love you Jordyn.

Kids Halloween Pictures

Today was quite the hectic morning trying to get the kids to get their pictures taken. Why is it so difficult to smile. I really don't understand. All in all the pictures turned out pretty good. I do have to say Alexis did great she is currently a lover of the camera. It was quite fun watching her get her pictures taken. And for some reason Jordyn became shy. And for those of you that don't know Jordyn, that is so not like her. But anyway here are a few of the pictures.

Taylors Blessing

Taylor was blessed on September 13, 2009. She had many family members and friends there who loved her and came to support us in this great event in her life. She is such a sweet little girl. We love her so much and are so happy to have her in our home.

These are the wonderful women Taylor was named after. Helen and Atheen. Her middle name is Heleen.

Cousins

Here is a picture of Taylor and her newest cousin Samara. they are only 1 month apart in age. It is fun to have cousins your age. I hope these two will be good friends.

Samara is only 10 days old in this picture.

Alexis 1st day of preschool

September 9, 2009 Alexis had her 1st day of preschool. Since Alexis is only 3 this year I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay for preschool especially since she was also starting dance. But Sheay and two of her friends were going to do a joy school since their preschool teacher quit so I though tit would be fun to do that with them.

Alexis was so so excited to go to school. She was a little disappointed when we pulled up to aunt Sheay's house for school, but she had a good time and always looks forward to going to school still.

Jordyn also really wanted to go to school, but she is a bit young for that, she didn't think so. So she went down stairs and found the Dora backpack and walked around the house with it on for at least 2 hours. She would not let me take it off.

Last swim of the season and Taylor's fist time swimming

We went swimming with Grandma when we got home from the ranch one last time before the pool closed for the winter.
This was also Taylor's first time in the pool. She did really well and enjoyed the time she spent in the pool. I hope she will be a little fish like her sisters. They love the pool and have no fear. You really have to keep an eye on them.

Labor day weekend

We went to Koosheram with the Hughes family and had a great time.
Jordyn and Ailee watching Alexis drive the four wheeler.

Alexis learned to ride the four wheeler all by herself this weekend.

This was Taylor's bed for the weekend.

First ponys

Yesterday a decided to see if I could do Taylor's hair in ponytails since she has so much. And it was a success. I think it looks so cute except her bangs are too short to reach the ponys. I love the little curl she has in her hair too.

Swimming with Grandma

One of the kids favorite summer activities is to go swimming with Grandma Hughes. Here is Alexis and Jordyn floating around with Grandma.

The kids truly love the water. and really have no fear. Which means you really need to keep an eye on Jordyn especially. She thinks she can swim and will just jump in even if no one is there to catch her. It is fun to see how much fun they have in the water. Here are a few of their jump in the water.

Jordyn had a few cherries after swimming. Naturally she is a mess and wearing the cherries as well. I don't think she would ever be able to sneak any kind of food. She always ends up wearing a little bit of everything she eat. I just love that cute little red face.
