First ponys

Yesterday a decided to see if I could do Taylor's hair in ponytails since she has so much. And it was a success. I think it looks so cute except her bangs are too short to reach the ponys. I love the little curl she has in her hair too.

Swimming with Grandma

One of the kids favorite summer activities is to go swimming with Grandma Hughes. Here is Alexis and Jordyn floating around with Grandma.

The kids truly love the water. and really have no fear. Which means you really need to keep an eye on Jordyn especially. She thinks she can swim and will just jump in even if no one is there to catch her. It is fun to see how much fun they have in the water. Here are a few of their jump in the water.

Jordyn had a few cherries after swimming. Naturally she is a mess and wearing the cherries as well. I don't think she would ever be able to sneak any kind of food. She always ends up wearing a little bit of everything she eat. I just love that cute little red face.

24th of July

We had a 24th of July BBQ at our house with Rusty's family. It was a lot of fun. the kids always have a great time playing with their cousins and we like to be able to spend time with family. It is so fun that Rusty's family is so close and that we all get along together and do so much together.

After dinner we went out front and did the enormous box of fireworks that Grandma Hughes bought. They were very impressive. Thanks grandma.

ouch!

Jordyn is such a busy body, that girl doesn't know the meaning of sitting still. Due to all that energy she does tend to get bumped and bruised on occasion. usually she bounces right up from a fall but this particular time on July 24th she didn't bounce up and shake it like normal. (Yes I know I am a little behind on this entry. You will probably see a few of these catch up entries, but I figure better late than never.)


She was just running down the driveway and tripped. She didn't get her hands out in front of her to catch her fall and caught herself with her face and shoulder. Now she has a scar in both places, I hope they go away in time.

Apology

I want to apologize to Taylor for loosing my camera for the last two weeks so I have missed half her life in pictures. But I will try to make up for it. I feel bad because I have not taken as many pictures of her as my other girls.

Happy Belated Birthday Rusty

Rusty turned 30 this year. I told him before we had the baby that we needed to have e big birthday party for him because this was a BIG birthday for him. He was less than thrilled. When I realized how close it was going to be to the baby being born I told him I wasn't going to do the party anymore. I think he was relieved, but little did he know I was planning a surprise party for him insteadThis is Rusty and the girls on his Birthday. Alexis and I made a cake for him and we all gave him presents. It wasn't very adventful, but it was nice and satisfied him. Which made him not even suspect a partyI am happy to report it stayed a secret and he was very surprised.
And I want to thank Scott and Mary for letting us use have the party at their home.
This is a picture of him and his party cake. I forgot candles and we couldn't find any at the house so He got to blow out the centerpiece candles on the table instead.

Photo shoot

I was trying to take a good picture of Taylor to possibly use for a birth announcement. I think this first one is my favorite. Except I am mad I didn't turn the date off on the camera so now she has numbers accross her hand.

Sisterly Love

No Jordyn is not trying to eat Taylor. She was giving her a kiss.

I love Taylor's expression in this picture. I think she is thinking something along the lines of "PLease help me", or "What have I gotten myself into?"
