Hawaii

If you can't tell this is a picture of Rusty and I in Hawaii. We just got back on Friday. It was so much fun. We had a really good time. It was kind of a or 4 year anniversary trip.
Here are a few pictures of our trip. They are of Rusty on a paddle board, hanging out at a loau, a picture of the two of us at Warren and Annabell's, Rusty trying to surf, Rusty on a black sand beach, and one of the many waterfalls we saw on our 7 hour drive around the island.

Easter Sunday

A fun family picture of all the Hughes cousins on Easter Sunday.

We came home from camping Sunday afternoon so we could go to the Hughes family Easter party. We were cutting it really close on time, but we made it.

Yes do you love the high quality of this picture. My camera has issues with moving objects lately. And there really isn't a time when my kids aren't moving.

Smile! Now you can see how cute they looked in their Easter outfits. I hope to go get my kids pictures taken the next time we have Carter (As long as Jordyn doesn't ruin her dress before then). It was quite the challenge when they got the birthday cake out for Blake.

Weekend Fun

For Easter weekend this year we were invited to go camping with my brother and his family. We had a really great time even though it was a bit windy.

We had a little egg coloring session during one of the wind storms.

Meanwhile the boys were outside equipped with their goggles out digging "the hole." Alexis tried to dig for a little bit but didn't last too long.

Jordyn even got a chance to go bury herself in the sand. It was great the kids had more sand to play with than they knew what to do with.

The kids also had a blast riding the four wheelers. We are really excited that Steven and Kristen recently got four wheelers. It was fun to have other people to go riding with.

Look what I did!

So I got tired of waiting for Rusty to make the bunk beds and took it on myself to build them. So Saturday I went to the hardware store with the girls while Rusty was home sick and biught a bunch of wood. I brought it home and started putting some of it together that night. Then the following day while I was listening to conference I worked on it somemore while the girls were taking naps. It is nice to have projects to work on when my husband is working out of town. (good thing he doesn't work out of town very much, that could get expensive.)
Anyway, I didn't quite have all the tools I needed so I took my project to my parents house so my dad could help me drill the holes throuhg my post. (thank you dad) Then I took it home and have done a little work on it each day since and I finally finished it today and moved it up to the girls room. Jordyn is actually sleeping on it right now. I am just deciding if I should paint or stain it.
